Woody Woodrum from Huntington, WV
Aside from watch TCM, what do you do?
After 45 years of working in high school and college sports, both in the equipment management area and on the journalism side, I have retired. But I still work the Marshall University home games for football, men's and women's basketball and baseball as well as call Huntington High football. I also have a son and my wife and I will have been married 29 years in December.
What’s your favorite movie snack?
Raisinettes with Coke Slurpy.
What’s your favorite part of TCM?
The hosts telling us about the movies. I wish you ran those for all movies, not just after 8 p.m. or on weekends.
What’s your favorite movie genre?
Do not have just one. I like film noir, superhero movies, sports movies, classic movies, new movies and just about all types of movies.
Who’s your favorite actor or actress or filmmaker of all time? And why?
Humphrey Bogart, the rugged good looks but not anyone's first pick for a leading man. The guy who takes no grief, but can be sentimental or downright human when called for. Teamed with nearly anyone, he is the perfect man for the movies of his era.
Who would you be thrilled to meet, and what would you say?
I guess anyone from Hollywood's golden era, because so few of them are still around. I would hope to talk movies with them, why I like the movies of their era and what do they think of today's movies.
What do you collect?
Movies, books and music.
If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite movie?
Casablanca. I never tire of seeing this film, and still find things I did not see the first 50 or 100 times I saw it.
