Rob Levy from St. Louis, MO

Aside from watch TCM, what do you do?

I host a weekly radio show in St. Louis and also provide content creation, social media, copy and technical writing to a wide range of organizations, businesses and clients.

What’s your favorite movie snack?

Carrots if I am eating healthy, otherwise M&Ms.

What’s your favorite part of TCM?

I love the fact that I am constantly discovering new movies to love and learning about the history of film. There is always something to watch and the network makes it easy for me to discover new films.

What’s your favorite movie genre?

I am pretty diverse. I've taken a bunch of the TCM courses, but I think right now it's film noir. Mainly because it is so connected to our modern history and the network really does a great job of creating context for those films.

Who’s your favorite actor or actress or filmmaker of all time? And why?

Tricky. Its a neck-and-neck battle between Orson Welles and Humphrey Bogart. Welles is fascinating as an actor and director and has so many interesting films. Bogart is still relevant and his films, even the more obscure ones, are usually enjoyable.

Who would you be thrilled to meet, and what would you say?

I would love to meet Welles and ask him how he persevered time and time again. I'd also love to meet Kurosawa and ask him about how he took the ideas in his head and put them onto a screen.

What do you collect?

I am a fan of Doctor Who so I have a lot of that stuff plus I love books and comics. Also music, since I am a DJ I'm always looking for new and interesting things.

If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite movie?

I know it is trite, but probably Casablanca because of its seminal status and shelf life. I can always watch it. It's also got a fascinating history behind how it was made.

Thank you Rob!  For being in our Member Spotlight, we're sending you the rare Batman in Noir Alley comic book, autographed by Eddie Muller!  Because it's always a good time when a TCM host teams up with the Caped Crusader.
