Dr. Karen Glasgow from Los Angeles, CA

Aside from watch TCM, what do you do?

Travel, cook, bake, help my aging father, go wine tasting, go to Disneyland, go to the movies, the theater and concerts.

What’s your favorite movie snack?

Popcorn (plain, Moose Munch and Kettle).

What’s your favorite part of TCM?

That it exists. How fabulous to turn on the television and have old movie classics to watch. I especially like 31 Days of Oscar!

What’s your favorite movie genre?

Anything from the 50's and 60's.

Who’s your favorite actor or actress or filmmaker of all time? And why?

Susan Hayward and Sydney Poitier (sorry I couldn't pick one). Susan Hayward played tragic so well. Back Street, I Want to Live!, I'll Cry Tomorrow and My Foolish Heart are examples. She was sexy, multi-talented and when she cried, so did I.

Who would you be thrilled to meet, and what would you say?

Sydney Poitier. I would say: "Do you remember Douglas Glasgow? I am his daughter and we met when they put your star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I love your work and how much it has always spoken to the social issues of our country, and to the heart." (My dad was asked to be Mr. Poitier's double when they were very young. They definitely resembled each other.)

What do you collect?

Black Americana.

If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite movie?

A Patch of Blue.
