Julie Wormhoudt from Ludington, MI

Aside from watch TCM, what do you do?

It took a while to adjust to retirement as I had been an applications developer, manager and administrator but I have time now to garden, cuddle with my cat and watch old movies any time I want, read and play bridge.

What’s your favorite movie snack?

What’s your favorite part of TCM?

The pre and post commentaries are what hooked me from the start. So fascinating to hear all about the movie's making and it's cast and crew.

What’s your favorite movie genre?

It's rather shrunk with age. I'm not interested in any form of violence or criminal activity, it's too pervasive in reality now. So, I guess romance both drama and comic, musicals of course and just good stories, biographical especially.

Who’s your favorite actor or actress or filmmaker of all time? And why?

I think Garbo is the most commanding performer, you just can't watch anybody else when she's on screen.

Who would you be thrilled to meet, and what would you say?

Steven Spielberg. He seems like the nicest guy in the world and I would love to know how the stories of E.T. and Close Encounters came to him.

What do you collect?

Not much anymore, trying to downsize! I used to buy art when I traveled more, have over 50 sterling perfume and snuff bottles (Thankfully, very small), had some first edition children's books at one time but now, just a new iris variety to add to my garden now and then.

If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite movie?

I love Gone With the Wind because it's the first film I remember seeing in a theater with my mom who passed on her love of Gable to me. However, I think the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol might be my favorite. I watch it multiple times every Christmas season.
