Aside from watch TCM, what do you do?

I'm a recently retired broadcast meteorologist (42 years in TV, with a brief start in Bangor, ME, then Wichita, then Tampa, 5 years in Detroit, and 34+ years in Buffalo). I now write 3 articles per week for the Buffalo News, mainly on weather and climate.

What’s your favorite movie snack?

Raisinets but will settle for red Jujyfruits.

What’s your favorite part of TCM?

Love all the hosts; enjoy Ben's wit, and I'm delighted TCM gives Eddie the chance to write intros and outros which are given the room to let his terrific prose breathe. I'm still drawn more to black and white films than color.

What’s your favorite movie genre?

I enjoyed film noir pre-Eddie, but now more than ever it's my favorite. Older horror and sci-fi for atmosphere and fun, and I'll watch any trash Ed Wood ever turned out.

Who’s your favorite actor or actress or filmmaker of all time? And why?

Oy, that's tough. Maybe Hackman by a tad. Hitchcock both for his body of work, and for choosing Bernard Herrman to score so many of his greats.

Who would you be thrilled to meet, and what would you say?

Tom Hanks. I'd say either Ralph Kramden's "hamanahamana" or "I got nuthin,'" besides boring praise.

What do you collect?

Bookmarks on my Windows PC, most of which I never remember are there. After that, too many years.

If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite movie?

Forbidden Planet (love it for the "Monster from the Id!").
