Patricia Flynn from Menomonee Falls, WI
Aside from watch TCM, what do you do?
Walk every day, play dartball, and write -- murder mysteries of course!
What’s your favorite movie snack?
Cheese and crackers and martinis.
What’s your favorite part of TCM?
I love listening to the hosts discuss the background of the movies they are presenting; and tidbits about the stars in the movie.
What’s your favorite movie genre?
Film noir first, then Hitchkock thrillers and the older whodunits.
Who’s your favorite actor or actress or filmmaker of all time? And why?
There are so many I appreciate in the acting category. I love all of Anne Baxter's movies, Vivien Leigh was a great actress, along with Bette Davis. Cary Grant and Claude Rains are two of my favorite actors, because I enjoy their acting skills and the movies they're in. Filmmaker: Paddy Chayefsky, for the feeling he conveys in his movies.
Who would you be thrilled to meet, and what would you say?
Odd as it may seem, a picture that I truly enjoyed for it's warmth, romance, and humor is Moonstruck, with Cher and Nicolas Cage. I would tell Cher what a great acting performance she gave, despite her inexperience at that time, and how much I loved watching the film.
What do you collect?
CDs and tapes of everything. From Calling Northside 777, On the Waterfront, Al Capone to North by Northwest. I love true stories and scary Hitchcock. Most important, movies where every scene is well done.
If you had to pick just one, what would be your favorite movie?
The Heiress is my favorite, if I must choose one. There's not one bad scene in the whole movie. Acting is superb.
